Software for Civil, Structural & Geotechnic Engineers, Architects, Surveyors.
LARSA 2000's makes modeling structures and accessing results easier than ever. The front-end has been entirely redesigned since the previous version of LARSA to improve performance, usability, and power.
LARSA 2000/4th Dimension for Buildings
With the release of LARSA 2000, LARSA introduced finite element analysis in the 4th dimension, time. LARSA 2000/4th Dimension for Buildings serves the buildings construction industry, which will benefit from LARSA 2000/4D's construction & collapse analysis, floor/area loading, specialized meshing, and time-dependent material properties.
LARSA 2000 is also a powerful front-end (GUI) for the engine. The front-end includes new support for infinite-level undo/redo, fully rendered graphics, and many modeling and results viewing tools. For a full feature list, please see the LARSA 2000 Front-End Feature List.
Construction & Collapse
Staged Construction Analysis
For complex structures such as cable stayed, suspension and segmental bridges that have many construction stages, the starting, stopping, altering and restarting procedure is unreasonable for the analysis. Staged construction analysis automates this, saving the user hundreds of modeling hours. Staged construction is also used for analyzing the effects of time-dependent material properties.
Progressive Collapse Analysis
Hysteretic Beam and Spring Elements
The hysteretic beam element can be used to model columns and beams with inelastic material behavior. The bilinear and tri-linear hysteretic spring elements are ideal for modeling member connections and soil-structure interaction.
Other 4th Dimension Features
Seismic Isolators and Bearings
The nonlinear time history analysis is essential in the design of buildings for seismic loading after construction. This analysis may include cables, beams and springs with hysteretic material behaviors, and nonlinear seismic isolation elements.
